I have been working on a major life shift, a family project since last year which had to be implemented this year (oh this shift took me out of my comfort zone, yes progress and comfort cannot live on the same block ) – taking this bold step rattled me as I experienced insomnia, anxiety, and a host of other emotions, in it all I am grateful to God, as I am beginning to see its benefits and I am excited.

This project I am handling with all sense of humility and responsibility.

I launched my book, my memoir LIVING-LOVING-LAUGHING, The Balanced ME™ in December 2022, but alas, my family life, my physical and mental health journey that I chronicled in there were tried again this year. I had to put things in perspective and go back to the drawing board to readjust as I leaned heavily on God, my source of total supply – hmmm… my next book, also my memoir THRIVING is already coming together ??

My phone was on silent for 6 months straight- ringtones were triggers for me – I told myself any call I miss I will return.

I became lethargic, afraid at the thought of working – afraid of success and failure at the same time. Just wanted to coast along.

My EA, Oluwatosin Awoniyi was such a blessing. She supported me all through

I stopped dressing up for work ??? but one thing I kept at was my exercise as I had created a community around it.

Two lessons I settled into this year were “a day at a time” and becoming comfortable, not knowing like Abraham was.

The song ‘One Day at a Time Sweet Jesus’ was never my song. My ‘all-must-be-in-order’ self before now never agreed to the song. But I have so much embraced it now and gotten the in-depth meaning to it, thereby experiencing peace.

What a great and beautiful space to be, and I close with this:

Isaiah 26:3
“You will keep in [a]perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both [b]inclination and character],
Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].
