Aderonke Mary Oyelakin
Aderonke Mary Oyelakin is a SGBV, Child and Family Life Advocate.
She is an alumni of the University of Lagos, where she had her First and Second Degree in Economics. She also holds a Diploma in Professional Counselling obtained from the Attitude Development International and Master’s in Children and Adolescent Counseling in view.
Aderonke is passionate about the well-being of womenand children and in protecting their rights. She has over 15 years field work experience of working with children in street conditions (boys & girls), teenage pregnant girls, domestic/sexual violence survivors and also engages students at all levels on their sexual health and reproductive rights including sensitisation in preventing any form of abuse.
She holds several certifications few of which are organization management, social work, child protection, child psychology, family systems engineering, abuse/trauma/addiction and recovery therapy, hypnotherapy, emotional intelligence, faith-based counselling from Texas USA, non profit leadership and management from LBS and other reputable institutes and organisations.
She is passionate about prevention and apt response to cases of child sexual abuse/domestic violence in the state.
She is currently the State Coordinator of Child Protection Network Lagos, an Initiative of UNICEF.
She belongs to several professional bodies.
She enjoys team work and her driving force is passion, love, accountability, service to humanity in truth and in action, her core values for life and practice.
She works at the Bimbo Odukoya Foundation as the Executive Coordinator.
